Michelle Lambert is the Communications Manager at WomenStrong International. In this role, Michelle monitors media trends and amplifies the work of WomenStrong and members through social media and storytelling.
For more than 25 years, Michelle has worked exclusively with non-profit organizations, foundations, and government agencies to create high-impact and memorable communications for some of today’s most pressing issues, including sexual and reproductive health and access, women’s health, and sexual and domestic violence.
Before joining WomenStrong, Michelle served as the Director of Communications for Move to End Violence, a 10-year initiative of the NoVo Foundation designed to strengthen the movement to end violence against women and girls in the United States. In this role, Michelle built an online presence for the program, including launching a platform for virtual learning opportunities that had previously only been available to individuals within the program.
Michelle began her career focusing on environmental issues, including working with the US Environmental Protection Agency to help launch the Energy Star brand, now a household name.
Michelle holds a B.A. in Anthropology, with a focus in African Studies, from Connecticut College. When she’s not knee-deep in social media, Michelle is chasing her daughters and chickens, and learning to grow food.
