Phoebe Darya

A champion of girl’s empowerment programs since she herself was a girl, Phoebe Darya has coordinated all AVFP’s Women’s and Girls’ Empowerment Programs within and near to Kisumu City. With Certificates in Community Development and Social Work from Daystar University, Phoebe reached out to identify and support vulnerable women and girls across the city and to enlist them in AVFP’s Group Savings and Loan and Girls’, Teens’ and Mothers’ Clubs programs, where they have begun to establish social ties and to learn the valuable life skills needed to transform their communities and leave extreme urban poverty behind.
